Southeast Wisconsin Man in Coma After Vaping E-Cig Cartridge

A southeast Wisconsin man is in a medically-induced coma after getting sick from vaping in Burlington.  Patrick DeGrave says his brother nearly lost his life from using a vape cartridge bought from someone off the street.  Doctors initially though it might be pneumonia, but soon realized it was something else the man went to Aurora Memorial Hospital with breathing issues.  His brother says the trauma caused to his lungs and heart is significant.  Three other people were also hospitalized for injuries related to vaping.  Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin said Thursday that eight teens suffered serious lung damage as an apparent result of vaping.
