Cortez Bustamante
An 18-year-old male had bail set at $250 thousand cash for his role in a stabbing incident on Tuesday in Two Rivers. Cortez N. Bustamante is charged with attempted first-degree homicide, robbery, bail jumping and obstructing.
Police were called to a residence shortly after 1 p.m. only to learn that Bustamante had fled the area. Information obtained by authorities led them to a south-side residence where he was taken into custody. The 19-year-old victim from Manitowoc was originally transported to a local hospital, then transported to another medical facility for treatment of “life-threatening” wounds.
No other information is being released at this time, including the victim’s name, pending completion of the investigation. Conditions of bail are that Bustamante has “no contact” with the victim or any witnesses in the complaint, possess no weapon of any kind and report to the Two Rivers Police Department for fingerprints and photos upon release. He remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for next Monday at 1:30.
