Lightning Strikes Pardeeville Man And His Home

Columbia County authorities say a man and a house were struck by lightning early Thursday morning.  The man’s name and medical condition haven’t been released.  He was taken to a nearby hospital at about 4:45 A-M when he was struck by lighting in Pardeeville.  About 30 minutes later, Portage firefighters responded to a 9-1-1 call about a lightning strike at a home just outside the city limits.  There were also reported lightning strikes in Brookfield and Mequon.
