The Wisconsin Hitmen of Milwaukee rallied from a first-half deficit Saturday afternoon to defeat the Manitowoc County Mariners, 42-16 in semi-pro football action at Ron Rubick Municipal Field. The game marked the Mariners home opener & first ever game played on the turf at Rubick Field. Manitowoc County led 16-15 late in the first half before the Hitmen scored a touchdown to grab the lead for good and pull away in the 2nd half. The Hitmen improve to 4-1 while the Mariners fall to 2-2. They’ll host the Racine Raiders in another Mid-States Football League contest this Saturday at 4:00 o’clock at Rubick Field.
