A man who spent 24 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit will get seven-and-a-half-million dollars in a settlement with the city of Milwaukee. Robert Lee Stinson was found guilty in 1985 of killing Ione Cychosz. The Wisconsin Innocence Project challenged the conviction with experts who said bite mark evidence used to convict Stinson was bogus. He was freed 10 years ago and had sued the city and a former detective, saying he had been framed.
