The value of construction in the city of Manitowoc through the first half of the year has totaled over $39.4 million. This more than doubles the figure through June of 2018 which was just over $17.5 million one year ago. According to permit activity, the largest expenditure so far this year is for Redline Plastics at more than $7.2 million dollars, followed by the Meijer Retail Store at $6.3 million and the Briess Warehouse at over $2.8 million dollars. Permits totaling in excess of $2.1 million were filed at city hall last month alone.
