Madison golfer Steve Stricker buried the old record for the U-S Senior Open by three strokes this weekend in South Bend, Indiana. Stricker put up a tournament score of 19-under on the Warren Course at Notre Dame, leading the field by six strokes. Another Madison golfer, Jerry Kelly tied with defending champion David Toms for second place. The win qualifies Stricker for the U-S Open next year.
