The Badger Carferry dock will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon today to celebrate the completion of the dock improvement project. This project, headed by the Foth Companies, updated the 70-year-old docking and birthing facilities in Manitowoc, WI and Ludington, MI enabling the ferry service to continue its passenger and cargo service across Lake Michigan. Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels will be at the Manitowoc Port for the ceremony, along with the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Craig Thompson, Pat McCarthy, the Lake Michigan Carferry Vice-President, Foth CEO Randy Homel, and Foth senior Client Manager Brian Hinrichs.
