A 24-year-old man who threatened to shoot people in an apartment Wednesday morning has spent the night in the Rock County Jail. Officers were called to the location shortly after 9:15 A-M. When they arrived, the victims had already left, but Daniel T. Simmons was still holding the gun. A perimeter was set up around the apartment and a crisis negotiator eventually convinced Simmons to come outside and give up. He faces charges of battery, domestic violence, domestic violence while armed, and disorderly conduct.
