Former Teacher Given 5-Year Sentenced For Repeated Sexual Assault Of A Child

A former teacher is going to prison for five years after his April conviction on charges he sexually assaulted a child multiple times.  Forty-six-year-old Jason Lavigne will be on extended supervision for 11 years after he gets out.  As he was being sentenced, Judge Vincent Biskupic noted Lavigne’s lack of remorse, continued denials and that he was still blaming the victim.  He also faces sexual assault charges in Marinette County.
