Following last night’s MLB action, the Milwaukee Brewers are one game behind the Cubs for the top spot in the National League Central Division. The St. Louis Cardinals are still well within the hunt at 2.5 games back, while the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates continue to battle for the fourth spot in the division at 6 games behind the leaders. Surprisingly, the NL Central is the most closely contended division, not only in the NATIONAL League, but in the entire MLB. In the NL East, the Braves hold a 5.5 game lead over the runner up Phillies, and a whopping 15.5 game lead over the last place Marlins. The team with the largest lead in their Division is in the NL West, where the Dodgers hold leads between 13 and 19.5 games on their entire division. The team with the tallest mountain to climb is the Baltimore Orioles , who are 29 games out of first in the AL East.
