Several vehicles in the City of Sheboygan have had items stolen from them over the past several weeks. The Sheboygan Police Department is looking into the thefts, and have issued a few tips to avoid becoming the next victim. The easiest thing to do is to never leave your vehicle unattended while unlocked. In every single one of the recent thefts, the victim left their vehicle unlocked and personal property was left out in the open. If the thief sees a valuable item on the seat, and the door is unlocked, it’s just like hitting the jackpot for them. The SPD is also asking for citizens to keep a vigilant eye out for any suspicious behavior and report it to the police.
