The Two Rivers man that was arrested for hitting and killing 25 year old Chris Klein with his car back in December has plead not guilty on charges related to the incident. 48 year old Timothy J. Hallet entered the not guilty plea in Manitowoc County Circuit Court last Wednesday. The criminal complaint says that Hallet was driving in Mishicot, when an officer attempted to pull him over. He then took off, reaching speeds of over 100 MPH, before colliding with Klein’s truck at the intersection of State highway 147 and Crystal Springs in the town of Two Rivers. Klein, who coached track and field at Roncalli HighSchool, died at the scene. Hallet is facing five felony charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, fleeing or eluding an officer, and reckless driving causing great bodily harm.
