The Wisconsin State Senate recently passed Bill 68, which closes a significant loophole in the laws related to child exploitation and pornography. Senator Andre Jacque of De Pere was a co-author of the bill which he says “combats a significant vulnerability within Wisconsin’s child exploitation statutes identified by prosecutors and Internet Crimes Against Children investigators. The bill closes the loophole by codifying case law, clarifying definitions and including “child erotica” as pornography.” The bill has now passed by unanimous voice vote in both legislative chambers and heads to Gov. Evers for his expected signature.
