Manitowoc Post 88 Falls for the First Time this Season

Ashwaubenon defeated Manitowoc 5-2 last night in American Legion varsity baseball action. Coach Kevin Stangel’s team jumped off to a 2-nothing lead heading into the bottom of the 3^rd before the home team grabbed the lead with a 3 spot and then tacked-on single runs in the 4^th and 6^th innings.  Ashwaubenon out-hit Manitowoc 10-5 and starter Chase Kersten took the loss.  Justin Steinbecker, who relieved Kersten with 2 outs in the 3^rd, led the offense by going 2-for-3, including a double.  Manitowoc is now 3-and-1 on the season.
