Holy Family Memorial and its medical staff recently awarded scholarships, totaling $13,000 to seven area students who are attending or will attend an accredited educational institution and have declared a healthcare-related major. Six students received a $2,000 scholarship, including Jena Zahorik who will be studying Occupational Therapy at Concordia University, Sunny Lee, who will stay in Manitowoc at the UW Green Bay Campus to major in Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Human Biology, Medical College of Wisconsin bound Jared Muench who will study Medicine, future UW Badger Katherine Satori who will be majoring in Biochemistry, Nursing school attendee Kaylsta Zdanowski, who will attend Bellin College, and Taylor Walesh, who will travel across the state to UW Eau Claire to major in Nursing. Olivia Ziegler was the lone recipient of a $1,000 scholarship to study Diagnostic Medical Sonography at Bellin College.
