New Load Limit For CTH “S” Bridge

A Bridge Load Limit will be placed on County Trunk Highway “S” bridge structure (over the Manitowoc River)
effective immediately. Manitowoc County Highway Department has ordered a mandatory 40-TON Load Posting in an attempt to reduce further structural damage to the affected bridge located on CTH S prior to the complete replacement in 2020. This structure is located ¼ mile no11h of CTI-I JJ. Overweight permits for loads exceeding this weight may be issued by the Highway Department if, in its opinion, no further damage would occur to the structure.
