Fishing will be limited on the Eau Claire Flowage for three-and-a-half months while the City of Schofield completes public utility maintenance. A public informational meeting was held in Wausau last night (Wednesday). The temporary fishing season closure will include all sloughs, bayous and flowages between the County Highway-X bridge east of Schofield to the Brooks and Ross Dam. There will be a five-and-a-half-foot drawdown while the work is done and that could make fish more susceptible to an overharvest.
