Juneteenth is a significant holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and will be celebrated during the 21st anniversary of African Heritage Inc. The celebration will include many noteworthy events including a children’s village, community resource fair featuring area organizations with food/retail vendors and the return of “Mr. I’m Possible” Keith L. Brown as the celebrations emcee and host.
Rooted deep in the tradition of promoting clear and positive images of African Americans, African Heritage Inc. has invited “Mr. I’m Possible” Keith L. Brown back as its host for the fourth consecutive year in a row. Traveling nationally and globally inspiring the masses for the past 18 years, “Mr. I’m Possible” has made it his life’s mission to leave people feeling inspired and motivated to do more with what they were given. Touted as the world’s most engaging emcee, Mr. I’m Possible speaks on diversity and inclusion, motivation and more.
The African Heritage, Inc. Juneteenth Celebration will be held on June 9, 2019 at Freedom, Unity & Community Park, 500 East Franklin Street, Downtown Appleton. The event is free to the public and include performances by Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective, dancer Stacy Letrice, foot work performers, carnival dancers and so much more.
