The Manitowoc County Historical Society, 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc, will hold an Explore Abilities weekend on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Explore Abilities Weekend is an opportunity for children and adults with learning differences and their families. Explore Abilities gives families the opportunity to enjoy the Museum’s historic structures and grounds at their own pace and also participate in the special activities occurring throughout the weekend.
The weekend will include the following: ear defenders available on loan (available during any museum visit) and hands-on sensory activities. Families are allowed to bring in outside food and drinks and enjoy a picnic in the museum’s Two Creeks Town Hall.
Admission is free if you mention “Explore Abilities” upon entrance during the weekend. Children under age 4 and MCHS Members always receive free admission. For more information about accessibility and additional programs at the museum, please visit ManitowocCountyHistory.org.
