Bring the whole family to Wade House Historic Site to cheer on the Wade House Red Jackets base ball (spelled the original way) club as they play other local teams in historic base ball games this summer.
“Baseball played by historic rules is a very different game than we see today,” said Jim Willaert, curator of interpretation and collections at Wade House Historic Site for the Wisconsin Historical Society. “There are no gloves, and a ball caught on the first bounce is an “out”. These rules really change the dynamic of the game.”
All games begin at 1:30 pm and take place on the following dates:
- June 2 – Milwaukee Greys
- June 16 – Cream Cities
- August 4 – Milwaukee Greys
