Ascend Services’ has announced the date of their third Annual 5k Run, Walk & Roll family fun fitness event. The fundraiser assists the agency meet its mission of providing vocational, social and educational opportunities for people with exceptional abilities.
Ascend Services’ third Annual 5k Run, Walk & Roll is sponsored by numerous area businesses and will be held at Lincoln Park Zoo – Cabin #1 on Satruday, September 28. This year the event has added Family Fun & Fitness to the lineup. This is the nonprofit organizations major fundraiser for the year and every dollar raised goes back into Ascend.
Register for the event before June 1st to receive a discounted rate. Events for the day include a 5K Timed Run, 5K Walk, 0.0 “Run” Event, Kids 1/4 Mile Run/Walk, Family Yoga, Fitness Scavenger Hunt in the Zoo, Basket Raffles, 50/50 Raffle, Face Painting and more. Saturday, September 28, 2019. Registration begins at 8:00 with events to begin at 8:45.
