Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says he believes members of his party in the Wisconsin Senate agree with a plan which would increase funding for K-through-12 schools by 500-million dollars. The Joint Finance Committee is to vote on the plan today (Thursday). The Republicans are adding a little over one-third as much money to schools as Democratic Governor Tony Evers had proposed. The increase is nearly 140-million dollars less than the last budget under former Governor Scott Walker.
