Top prospect Keston Hiura makes his debut in front of the home fans tonight (Tuesday) when the Brewers host the Cincinnati Reds. It’s the first game of a short, five-game homestand. Hiura was promoted a week ago and he’s been impressive at times. He’s hitting .250 with a .708 O-P-S, he has a homer, one R-B-I and has struck out eight times in 24 plate appearances. He was Milwaukee’s top pick in 2017 M-L-B Draft.
There was only one game involving an NL Central Division team last night, which saw the Cubs fall to the Phillies 5-4 in 10 innings. This means that the Brewers gained a half a game on the Chicago team, and are now one game behind in the NL Central Standings. The Pirates sit 2.5 games behind, the Cardinals trail by 4 games, and the Reds sit at the bottom of the division, 7 games behind the Cubs.
