The defending IFL Champions, Iowa Barnstormers, travel to Green Bay to face the Blizzard on Sunday afternoon May 19.
Iowa currently holds the number 2 seed in the IFL playoffs and has clinched a playoff spot with their last-second win over the Quad City Steamwheelers last Saturday. The Blizzard hold the 4th seed after falling to the Sioux Falls Storm.
The Barnstormers (9-1) are led by their defense with former Blizzard defensive back Tyrell Pearson leading the league in interceptions. Offensively the Barnstormers quarterback Daquan Neal leads the league in passing and is in the top 5 in rushing yards, touchdown passes, and rushing touchdowns. Former Blizzard wide receiver, Ryan Balentine, leads the league in receptions, yards and is second in touchdown catches.
The Blizzard (6-4) are led offensively by quarterback Lenorris Footman who leads the league in rushing yards per game and is in the top 6 in passing yards per game. Defensively the Blizzard are led by linebacker Dayshawn Taylor who is 6th in the league in tackles. Defensive back Bakari Triggs leads the league in interceptions returned for touchdowns and 5th in the league in total interceptions. Receiver and kick returner, BJ Hill, is third in the league in All-Purpose Yards per game averaging over 120-yards per game.
