It may have taken 8 innings, but Manitowoc Lutheran was a 5-4 winner over Random Lake in Girls Fastpitch Softball yesterday afternoon. The Big East battle was tied at 1 apiece after 7, before the visiting Lancers scored 4 times in the top of the 8th, only to have the Rams push across 3 runs of their own to make it close. Allison Menges delivered a bases loaded single and Lexi Funk added a 2 run double in that 4 run Inning. Mikayla Riemer was the only Lancer with multiple hits, one of which was a double. Lexi LeClair was the winning pitcher working all 8 innings. Lutheran wraps up the regular season this afternoon at 4:30, when it hosts Valders in a non-conference game.
