The 19th Annual Dick Rohrer “Badger Night” is fast approaching. The event, presented by the Neshotah Charitable Foundation Inc, will be held at the Two Rivers Community House Saturday, May 18. We were able to speak with Bob Bergeon, who helps put the event on every year, and he reminisced about the long list of former Badgers that attended in the past, including names like Ron Dayne, Bill Schroeder, Jason Bohannon, Josh Gasser, John Stocco, and Pat Richter. However, Bergeon told us his favorite speaker was “…the UW women’s basketball coach Lisa Stone. Very good motivational speaker. “
This year’s guest speaker is a name you may remember, but he has a long list of accomplishment you may not. Tarek Saleh will be gracing the Two Rivers Community House with his presence. Bergeon told us “He was a defensive linebacker for the Badgers. He was an All-American in 1995, also in 1996. All Big 10 linebacker, player for the Carolina Panthers, and Cleveland Browns. He holds the Wisconsin record with 58 career tackles for loss.”
The social hour will begin at 5:00 PM, with dinner being served at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $25 per person with dinner included. To purchase tickets, you can call Bob at 920-553-4055.
