Bail was set at $150 recognizance bond for a 30-year-old Two Rivers man who threatened one of three defendants charged in the death of a two-year-old boy last month. Curtis D. Quistorf was booked into the County Jail on Monday for disorderly conduct after approaching 28-year-old David Heiden during an initial appearance in Manitowoc County Circuit Court. Heiden, along with 27-year-old Rhena Santiago and 25-year-old Bianca Bush face multiple felony counts for continually abusing 2-year-old Gilbert Grant at 2110 E. River Street in Two Rivers. All three defendants appeared in court Monday. A criminal complaint shows Gilbert died April 26th from internal bleeding and injuries to his organs following months of abuse from his mother, Rhena Santiago, and her roommates Heiden and Bush. Quistorf reportedly made a threatening hand-gun gesture with a two-fingered cocking motion towards Heiden. As he was being led away by bailiffs he said: “Better pray you don’t get out David.” It was disclosed that Quistorf was out on extended supervision after serving eighteen months in prison for an October 2016 charge of delivering heroin. Conditions of bail are that Quistorf has no contact with David Heiden and that he not be present on or in courthouse premises unless he’s conducting personal legal business matters. He remains in the County Jail on a probation hold and his initial appearance is scheduled for June 3rd at 1:30. Meanwhile, Santiago, Heiden, and Bush remain in the County Jail in lieu of $100 thousand cash bail each. They are all due back in court on May 13th at 1:30.
