A Manitowoc woman was taken into police custody last night after she began causing a disturbance outside a residence. The 31-year-old told officers she was recently kicked out of Hope House and attempted to stay with someone who lives in the 100 block of Riverview Drive whom she had stayed with before. When the man refused to let her stay, she began yelling and throwing things. The woman left the property, and officers arrived when she returned. She refused to calm down after officers instructed her to do so. It was discovered that she had a probation warrant out on her, so officers attempted to place her in handcuffs. The woman resisted but was eventually put into the vehicle. During a search of the woman and her purse, a needle was found, along with marijuana. The woman is now facing charges of Battery/Theft to an Officer, Resisting an Officer, Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a felony count of Possession of THC.
