A 24-year-old Manitowoc man found guilty of False Imprisonment may not be forced to serve time in prison. The incident saw Jamal Rudd the Second, and 27-year-old Tamario Williams force a 34-year-old woman into a car before traveling down I-43, before the woman escaped exactly one year ago today. In that case, Rudd was found guilty of felony false imprisonment as a party to a crime and felony strangulation and suffocation. Rudd’s sentence ended up being eight years in state prison-stayed, meaning Rudd will not serve this sentence unless he violates his probation conditions. He will be on 5 years’ probation as well for the endangering safety charge. Williams is currently being held at the Manitowoc County Jail and is scheduled for a status conference at the Manitowoc Courthouse on Monday.
