Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar had not hit a homerun this season after pounding 35 a year ago. That all changed last night during Milwaukee’s 5-1 victory over Colorado at Miller Park. With Bob Uecker at the mike, Jesus came to bat with two runners aboard in the bottom of the first inning.
Aguilar would add a solo blast to his night’s work later in the game. Four Brewers pitchers held the Rockies to just 4-hits and one unearned run. Starter Zack Davies picked up the win, his 3rd of the season, with 5-and-a-third innings of shutout pitching. In game-2 of the 4-game series tonight it’ll be Jhoulys Chacin going to the hill for the Crew.
