
The Manitowoc Lutheran Girls Softball team were running on all cylinders yesterday in a double header match-up with Cedar Grove/Belgium. The Lancers took the first game in 4 innings by a score of 16-1, with Olivia Sieher leading the way offensively, accounting for 3 hits. Lexi LeClair picked up the win on the mound. The second game was even less of a contest, with the lancers putting up 24 points in three innings against the 2 runs produced by the Rockets. Jena Garceau accounted for all but two of the outs for the Lancers, as she struck out 7 batters while taking the win. Lutheran is now 5-3 overall, and 4-3 in conference.
The Valders squad continues their reign of dominance in the EWC with a 12-3 rout of Two Rivers. Of the 18 hits produced by the Vikings, Kendra Hammel and Holly Wendling accounted for four each. Maddie Lambert was ranted the win after striking out 9 batters and only walking 2 in 7 innings of work. Hannah Hartleau and Kailey Pyles split time on the mound for the Raiders, each giving up six runs. Valders has improved to 7-3 overall and 4-1 in the EWC, while Two Rivers falls to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in conference.
Roncalli was able to take advantage of a struggling Kiel squad, who has yet to pick up a win this season. The Jets swatted in 11 runs compared to the lone run produced by the Raiders. Lindsay Dvorachek had a good night on the bump, allowing only three hits, while striking out 4 and picking up the win.
