Oneida County Judge To Reveal Decision On Murder Verdict Next Week

An Oneida County Circuit Court judge is scheduled to reveal his decision in a cold-case murder trial next Tuesday.  Attorneys for Robin Mendez told the court their client is a sex offender, but not a murderer Wednesday.  That’s when the bench trial in Rhinelander was wrapped up after two weeks.  Prosecutors say Mendez killed his wife in the early 80s so he could start a relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
