The Milwaukee Brewers have signed the pitcher who won three important games for them down the stretch as they raced to the National League Central Division title. Lefty Gio Gonzalez was signed to a one-year deal Wednesday — the same day the Brewers losing streak reached four games in a row with a 5-2 loss to the Cardinals. The two contenders have now split 10 games. In those 10 games, the Brewers and Cardinals have combined to hit 45 home runs. Gonzalez will address a need for starting pitching.
