Manitowoc Lutheran defeated Reedsville in a Big East Conference girls softball game yesterday, 4-2. Lexi LeClair picked up the win on the mound, allowing only one hit, striking out 11 batters in the process. Lutheran has improved their record to an even 3-3 on the season, and are now 2-3 in conference. They will next be facing off against Cedar Grove-Belgium in a doubleheader tomorrow.
Chilton and Valders softball teams played in a defensive gem, with the Tigers coming out on top 1-0. Maddie Lambert of the Vikings pitched the entire game, striking out 9 batters and allowing 5 hits, while Andrea Schitz relied on her teammates a bit more, striking out 2 in her 7 innings of work.
Meanwhile, the Valders and Chilton boys baseball squads battled in a barn burner yesterday. The Vikings ended up earning the win 9-8. Trevor Leist and Fletcher Dallas each drove in three runs for the victorious Valders team.
