Manitowoc’s LaDeDa Books & Beans will play host to children’s author, Mike Leannah, will visit LaDeDa Books & Beans on Thursday, April 25 from 6:30 to 7:30. A resident of Wisconsin, Michael Leannah was a teacher in elementary schools for more than 30 years. His children’s fiction has been published in Highlights for Children, Ladybug and other magazines.
The bookstore is inviting children ages 4-8 to wear comfy pajamas to hear the author read his sleepy time story, “Goodnight Whispers.” Leannah will also play guitar, share songs, and sign books. Children in attendance can also enjoy a related art activity.
On an ordinary night in an ordinary house, a father’s ordinary words – You are strong. You are brave. You are so incredibly good – do something extraordinary. Lulled to sleep by these whispered affirmations, his baby girl grows into a fun-loving child, a confident teen, and then a courageous young woman.
