
Milwaukee outfielder Christian Yelich has been named National League player of the week. Yelich hit .417, with an O-P-S of 1-point-417, pounding eight home runs in seven games, driving in 16. The left-handed hitting slugger tied Prince Fielder for the most home runs in any month by connecting on 13 in April. This was the second player of the week honor for Yelich in the early 2019 season.
