Dodger right fielder Cody Bellinger robbed Christian Yelich of an eighth-inning home run on defense, then hit a homer off Josh Hader in the ninth to give Los Angeles a 6-5 win Sunday. The Brewers had tied the game with a three-run rally in the bottom of the eighth. Milwaukee got home runs from Lorenzo Cain and Eric Thames. Hader took both losses as the Dodgers won two-out-of-three at Miller Park. The Brewers play at St. Louis tonight (Monday) with rookie Adrian Houser expected to start.
One Brewer that will not be making the trip is right-hander Corbin Burnes, who has been sent down to Tripple-A San Antonio. Burnes had a perfect 7-0 record last season with an E-R-A of 2.61. So far this year, he had given up 11 home runs in 17-and-two-thirds innings for a record of 0-2 and an E-R-A of 10.70. Milwaukee has called up 24-year-old lefty Donnie Hart to take his place on the 25-man roster.
