After hearing from an expert, a man charged in his friend’s shooting death has agreed to plead no contest to homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon. Investigators say Jeremiah Solis was showing a gun to some friends in September 2017 when it went off. Twenty-year-old Connor Stephens was fatally wounded in the Eagle River incident. When he is sentenced next June Solis could get up to 10 years in prison.
