The 27-year-old Two Rivers man that was accused of sexually assaulting a resident of a sober living facility in Sheboygan County has pleaded guilty in Sheboygan County Circuit Court. The criminal complaint indicates that Andrew David Schmaling offered to give one of the female residents a ride to work back in February. While under this guise, Schmaling pulled over and pressured her into have sex with him, claiming he would have kicked out of the facility, and have her children taken away if she refused. He then proceeded to sexually assault the woman. The state recommended a five-year prison sentence, along with 15 years of extended supervision. The maximum sentence for second-degree sexual assault is 40 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines. His sentencing hearing will take place on May 31st.
