Boys High School Baseball yesterday at Municipal Field saw Manitowoc Lincoln defeat Pulaski 4-1. Aiden Buck was the winning pitcher, and he, along with Gavin Stradal had 2 hits apiece. Red Raiders’ starter Easton Vertz took the loss. Shut out for the first 6-innings, Pulaski scored a run and had a chance to tie it in the 7th, before Buck escaped a bases-loaded jam by retiring the final batter on an infield pop fly. The Ships improve to 3-1 in the FRCC.
In the E-W-C, Valders beat Roncalli 8-4. Riley Hammel gets the win in relief with 3 and a third scoreless innings, during which he allowed only 1 hit, 3 walks & 3 strikeouts. David Heinzen gave up just 1 earned run in taking the loss. Trevor Leist & Peyton Dietrich each went 3-4 & combined for 3 RBI for the Vikings. Alex Orth was 2 for 3 with a walk & a run scored for the host Jets.
