Beginning in 2020 Manitowoc Lincoln High School will become part of a new, football-only-conference realignment. Yesterday, the W-I-A-A Board of Control unanimously passed a statewide football-proposal submitted by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. The impact puts Lincoln in a 7-school Fox River Conference South with Notre Dame, Sheboygan North & South, Menasha, Green Bay East & West.
The FRC North includes Bay Port, Pulaski, De Pere, Ashwaubenon and Green Bay Preble & ‘Southwest. Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian moves from the Big East to the Eastern Wisconsin Conference with Roncalli-Two Rivers-Valders-Kiel-Brillion-Chilton and New Holstein.
Manitowoc Lutheran remains in a revamped Big East Conference that decreases from 10 to 8 schools.
Mishicot leaves the Big East to form a new Marinette/Olympian/ Northern Lakes/Packerland Conference East Division with Kewaunee- Southern Door- Sturgeon Bay-Peshtigo-Bonduel-Oconto and Clintonville.
Sheboygan Falls replaces Campbellsport in the East Central as the Cougars move to the Flyway Conference-while Denmark will be part of a 7-school ‘Northeastern’ Conference that adds Menomonee-Michigan and retains Luxemburg-Casco, Marinette, Freedom, Little Chute & Wrightstown.
These changes officially take effect starting in the Fall of 2020.
