This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and is being celebrated by the Manitowoc County Emergency Services Department. This week honors the men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources and render life-saving assistance via phone every day in the County. Manitowoc County Emergency Services operates the Joint Dispatch Center, provides a single answering point for all 911 calls in the County and dispatches police, fire, and EMS resources in the City of Manitowoc, City of Two Rivers, City of Kiel, and rural areas of Manitowoc County. The Joint Dispatch Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
