The selection of musicians, dancers, and singers for Kids From Wisconsin was recently announced on April 2.
“The talent that came out to audition this year made selecting very difficult not only vocally but instrumentally. Wisconsin should be very proud of the music programs produced in their schools. I truly believe we have Wisconsin’s best performers selected for 2019!” stated Taras Nahirniak, the producer and orchestrator of Wisconsin’s iconic touring troupe, now in their 51st season of performing.
There are 36 musicians in the troupe that were chosen through a competitive statewide audition last February of approximately 300 students ages 15-20.
The performers will begin their 15 days rehearsals on May 17th to learn the fully staged, two-hour, Broadway-style performance that will be performed over 70 times this summer.
Wisconsin Lutheran College is a NEW Presenting Sponsor of the beloved performance troupe that will rehearse and reside at the college the troupe members will learn to call home from June 1 through August 16.
