Manitowoc Sees Drastic Rise in Construction Permits

Manitowoc is off to a great start in 2019 for commercial construction activity.  According to the City, permits obtained for local projects through March, total over $25.4-million dollars, over 3 1/2 times more than last year at this point.  The value of construction permits last month alone was over $13.3 million.  Looking at the top-10 commercial & multi-family projects in Manitowoc  5 of them topped a million dollars.  They are Redline Plastics at $7.2-million, Meijer Retail Store $6.2 million, Briess Malting Warehouse at $2.8-million, Meijer Gas Station  at $1.1-million and, MTM Warehouse at $1.3 million dollars.
