Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers calls an article in the Bleacher Report a “smear attack” by a writer “trying to advance his career.” The Green Bay off-season workouts started Monday. Rodgers says the article detailing his problems with head coach Mike McCarthy and his attitude toward teammates slants the facts and includes items that are “just outright lies.” The All-Pro quarterback doesn’t deny he butted heads with his coach from time-to-time, but he also says he and McCarthy had a good relationship and he wouldn’t have signed the huge, multi-year deal if he wasn’t happy with his coach and his team.
