Despite an incredibly close race for the state supreme court, Brian Hagedorn has declared victory over Lisa Neubauer. At last word, both sides were preparing for a recount as Hagedorn led with 50.25% over Neubauer’s 49.75%. That being said, no victor has been officially declared. Neubauer has not, as of last word, conceded, and is reportedly seeking a recount. The margin of victory was small enough that a recount could be called for. Neubauer released couple of short statements on Twitter looking to “make sure every last vote is counted.” If a recount does happen, Hagedorn’s camp is prepared for that to happen, after raising funds to cover the costs. The Wisconsin Elections Commission says 26-point-6 percent of eligible voters cast votes. In Manitowoc County, Hagedorn collected 10,192 votes, compared to 6,059 for Neubauer.
