Badgers Freshman Could Win The Starting QB Job

At least one national publication thinks freshman quarterback Graham Mertz will be the Badgers’ starter this fall.  Junior Jack Coan played in five games last season, but 247sports-dot-com is suggesting Mertz is the kind of player who can elevate his offense.  Coan was serviceable last season and would seem to be first in line for the job.  The presence of All-American running back Jonathan Taylor could take enough pressure off that a rookie could start this fall.
