Milwaukee center fielder Lorenzo Cain ended Thursday’s season-opening win over the St. Louis Cardinals by jumping high to catch a potential game-tying home run. There were six home runs in the Brewers 5-4 victory, three by each team. Winning pitcher Jhoulys Chacin’s blast to left-center in the fifth inning provided the winning margin. Mike Moustakas and Christian Yelich also had big flies, while Josh Hader picked up the save. Kolten Wong homered twice for St. Louis. Freddy Peralta starts tonight (Friday) for the Brewers against Jack Flaherty.
