The Wisconsin Badgers had worried about the offense after graduating star Kelsey Jenkins last season. No problem. On the way to a 24-5 start — including 10 stopped by the run-rule — the Badgers have come up with an even more powerful offense. First baseman Kayla Konwent has nine home runs and a batting average of .442, driving in 32 runs. As a team, the Badgers are hitting .306 with 38 homers. Following Tuesday’s doubleheader sweep of Northern Iowa, U-W will host Penn State this weekend.
